Preserve Rosinton — Save Our Rural Heritage
Like many of you, I've lived in this peaceful rural community all my life. Whether you're new to the area or have generations of your family represented here the farmland, the pastures, and the strong friendships we share have made this place home. It's not something we take for granted, we believe it's something worth preserving.
Rural agriculture land in our community, 111+/- acres, is currently under consideration for rezoning to a dense subdivision development. This land, and how it's zoned, will shape what Rosinton looks like for generations to come. If approved, we lose the working farmland that sustains local agriculture, the green space and wildlife corridors that keep our environment healthy, the quiet roads, and the unique character that makes Rosinton special. In its place: crowded streets, strained infrastructure, overcrowded schools, and a rural identity that, once lost, can't be rebuilt.
Our current Rural Agriculture zoning already allows home sites, it simply keeps development consistent with a rural, agricultural way of life. We aren't asking commissioners for anything new. We're asking them to honor the zoning designation already in place.
Nationally, we lose roughly three acres of farmland every minute — and that pressure is only accelerating here in Baldwin County. If we stay silent, 111 more acres could disappear for good.
We must act — and our commissioners need to hear from us directly.

📞 Call your Commissioners — ask them to honor RA zoning:
Show up and be heard. Numbers on a petition matter, but a packed room of neighbors is what commissioners remember when they vote.
