Closure of Prescription Dispensing Services at St John's Chapel

Weardale Practice has taken the decision to close its dispensing service at St. John's Chapel on Friday 27th October. Local residents were only informed of the intention to cease this provision in a letter dated 13th October, without prior consultation. This decision will contribute to the decline in services in what is a rural and remote part of Weardale and will unduly impact the elderly and those without access to transport necessary to make the journey to Stanhope, which will become the nearest town in which to collect a prescription.

This petition urges the practice to consider all options to ensure that the provision of this service can continue. It has been organised by the Labour Party Weardale Branch and will be delivered to the Weardale Practice. No personal details entered onto the petition will be otherwise used or stored by the Labour Party.
