ENCAMPMENTS in Minneapolis City Parks are violating the rights of ALL residents and taxpayers to enjoy city parks, that are clean, safe, and without harassment.

Homeless residents need the City to step up to request that the Governor open the State Fairgrounds to provide a safe, clean environment with basic amenities (running water and restrooms) for homeless residents.

Minneapolis and the State of Minnesota have the opportunity to set a precedent in America, in considering the rights of all residents and taxpayers to enjoy public parks and spaces such as Nicollet Mall, while making it a priority to relocate homeless residents to safe and clean spaces.

Let's set an example for the rest of the country instead of ignoring the problem that is becoming increasingly worse -- eg. Powderhorn Park, the Commons, etc.

Families should not have to live in tents along city bike paths or in parks without running water or restrooms.

Taxpaying residents should not have to dodge trash, avoid public parks or Nicollet Mall bc of safety concerns.

If you have doubts, read this NY Times article about Powderhorn Park:  NY Times Article - Powderhorn Park

LET'S CHANGE THE TRAJECTORY, MINNEAPOLIS AND MINNESOTA.
