Urge Country Music Stars to Stand with Caleb Keeter for Common-Sense Gun Reforms

You don’t have to tell country music performer Caleb Keeter about the horrors of gun violence. On Sunday Oct. 1, 2017, he lived them first-hand.

Now the lead guitarist for the popular Josh Abbott Band is calling for common sense gun reforms that could save lives — and we need your help to convince other country music stars to stand with him.

Keeter didn’t mince any words in describing how the massacre has changed his thinking on firearms:

"I’ve been a proponent of the 2nd amendment my entire life. Until the events of last night. I cannot express how wrong I was…

Enough is enough.

Writing my parents and the love of my life a goodbye last night and a living will because I felt like I wasn’t going to live through the night was enough for me to realize that this is completely and totally out of hand.”

If you agree with Caleb Keeter that we can — and should — do more to stop gun violence, please sign this petition to the nominees and performers for November 8th's Country Music Association Awards (CMAs).

Your signature today will help convince other country music performers to add their voices to the call for common sense gun reforms. Last year, 12.5 million people watched the CMAs, and its presenters and performers speak to an audience that has — up to now — strongly opposed stronger regulations on firearms.

Please add your name now and help our country — and country music stars — finally find the will to take real action to reduce gun violence and save lives.
