Get mopeds off South Carolina Roads

Too many individuals who have lost the privilege to drive a car in South Carolina are now driving mopeds on South Carolina roads with the same recklessness that caused them to lose their license in the first place. Since they are not required to have a drivers license or insurance to operate a moped they don't obey the traffic laws because there are no consequences. This is dangerous for everyone operating a vehicle on the road and unfair to the people that are required to have a license and insurance to operate a vehicle in South Carolina. The majority of people driving mopeds have lost their license because of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Why is it okay for them to drive a moped on South Carolina roads while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and without a drivers license?
