Street co-name for veterinarian who served community 40 years

Dr Rubio served the Jackson Heights-East Elmhurst community. He recently passed. His heartbroken clients are petitioning to have a street co-names near the clinic.
He emigrated from Peru and settled in Queens the most culturally diverse community. He began his career by establishing a home visit service evenings and weekends after his jobs as a surgeon at North Shore and Bide-a-Wee. Dr Rubio then opened his clinic which was open 6 days a week. He often stayed overnight with pets needing extra care. In addition, he spayed and neutered stray cats for free; provided discounts to pet owners who needed help. Dr Rubio mentored young people who were interested in medicine. Dr Rubio was an excellent veterinarian. He only ordered tests needed as not to stress pets or pad bills.
We have lost a wonderful veterinarian and friend. We want to honor his memory with the street rename. Please join us by signing our petition. Thank you.
