My cat was ran over outside my house on Sunday the 19th of August 2018 she was found by a member of the public who reported to DORSET POLICE that she had found a cat on the side of the road, DORESET POLICE said they would ring POOLE COUNCIL they rang the warden at 8.44am the lady was told that someone would be out to collect her. She drove past again at 10.30am and my cat was no longer there. I have phone the council trying to track down my microchipped cat and they are saying that they have no record of her being picked up as no one would have collected her on a Sunday. My cat is dead and missing all I want is her back and this is deeming impossible. Tillie was more han just a cat she was my absolute world, my rock, my bestfriend, my soulmate couldnt of asked for any more love and affection she was just the perfect companyon, now this has been taken away from me by a CARELESS SPEEDING MOTORIST. Tillie was one of three cats this weekend to die in a 200 yard radius thats 3 familys destroyed as there FUR BABIES had been ran over also by a SPEEDING MOTORIST and these cats also died outside there houses. Something needs to be done to change the driving law and its attitude towards cats. By law you have to stop for anything bigger than a dog. NOW TO ME DOG COME IN ALL DIFFERENT SHAPES AND SIZES. MY CAT WAS BIGGER THAN MOST DOGS TODAY. THERE ARE MORE CAT OWNERS THAN DOG OWNERS SO CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHY CATS DO NOT HAVE THE SAME RIGHTS AS DOGS. THIS MAKES MY BLOOD BOIL. MY CAT TO ME WAS MY BEST FRIEND I SUFFER WITH BIPOLAR AND I GOT MY CAT WHEN I WAS 20 AS I NEEDED TO HAVE A FRIEND I COULD RELY ON AND AS I HAVE HAD CATS ALL MY LIFE I WANTED TO FINALLY GET MY OWN FUR BABY. SHE BOUGHT ME ENDLESS HAPPINESS AND WAS THE MOST LOVING ANIMAL ID EVER COME ACROSS, SHE GAVE ME THE LOVE NO HUMAN COULD EVER GIVE SHE WAS LOYAL AND NEVER LET ME DOWN EVER, SHE WAS ALWAYS THERE THOUGH MY REALLY BAD LOW TIMES AND SHE BECAME THE REASON I GOT UP IN THE MORNING, NOW IM BROKEN BECAUSE OF THE STUPID LAW THAT YOU DONT HAVE TO STOP FOR A CAT.
THIS NEEDS TO BE IN PLACE FOR ALL THE OTHER PEOPLE WHO OWN CATS AND FOR THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE CATS TO HELP THEM WITH THERE MENTAL HEALTH. THIS CAN DO SEVERE DAMAGE TO SOMEONE WHO NEEDS A LITTLE HELP AND HAS FOUND SOLOCE IN A PET CAT LIKE I DID.
I AM GOING TO GET 100,000 SIGNATURES AS I AM THE VOICE ON MY CAT TILLIE WHO I WILL NEVER SEE AGAIN BECUASE OF SOME WRECKLESS HEARTLESS SPEEDING MOTORIST.
