To Mary Sue Coleman and the University of Michigan Board of Regents:
We the undersigned are writing this letter to put your educational institution on notice.
Michiganders are dissatisfied, to say the least, with the board's decision to invite Dr. Fauci to be the commencement speaker.
Dr. Fauci has mishandled one health crisis after another, starting with the AIDS virus in the 1980's and more recently the Coronavirus pandemic.
The University of Michigan is a paradigm of excellence and has one of the top hospitals in the country. Considering Dr. Fauci's leaked emails which exposed even more serious concerns regarding his directive on the covid crisis.
Dr. Fauci has not been in an emergency room, nor has he seen a patient in decades, yet HE single-handedly gave directives to forbid lifesaving medication such as Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine without any consultation from other medical professionals who were on the front lines treating covid patients.
Therefore, the undersigned feel it is highly inappropriate to have Dr. Fauci speak at the University of Michigan's graduation commencement on May 7, 2022 and request that he be uninvited.
If you do not withdraw the invitation to Dr. Fauci, we intend to show up in protest.
