Notes to signers: 1) Click on the image above to see a 5-minute video of Del Bigtree reading and responding to the document that is the basis for our petition. 2) I changed the name from "End Legal Immunity of Vaccine Makers" on 7-14-19, so if you signed that, you're done; do not sign again. 3) Regardless of what you see here, your signature WILL NOT appear on the actual petition until you answer the email, from Care2, that you'll receive after signing here. People attempting to sign have reported that Google/Gmail and Yahoo block that email. The fact that they serve the forces we fight against has been apparent for some time. The fact that they're blocking emails from Care2 tells you how important this petition is. If you know enough to sign this petition, it's time to divorce yourself from Google (search engine, Chrome, Android, Gmail) and apparently also from Yahoo. If you use Gmail or Yahoo email, you may need a new email account in order to sign this. ProtonMail, Yandex Mail, and Tutanota should be suitable replacements. 4) Neither your street address nor your email address are available to Bart, Paul, or anyone else who may help us administrate this petition in the future. We believe that these addresses are kept private to Care2 and that the only others who will ever see them are the congressmen and executives in the federal government who will receive the petition. 5) Writing a comment at "WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT TO YOU?" is optional, but it's good to do so. We WILL present this petition to Congress, the President, and HHS; the comments add great impact to the petition and also show that your signatures are valid instead of computer-generated. 6) As of this update (8-30-19) state legislators in both Minnesota and Oregon have introduced their own bills that are near replicas of Washington SJM 8012, on which this petition is based. That means this petition is almost a mirror image of bills that have been introduced into three state legislatures. 7) Please join Facebook group "Restore Liability For The Vaccine Makers" for ongoing updates and much more information about the campaign to restore liability in civil court upon the vaccine makers.
THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, THE PRESIDENT OF THE SENATE, THE SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, THE SENATE AND HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE UNITED STATES, IN CONGRESS ASSEMBLED, AND THE SECRETARY OF THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES:
The text of this petition is based substantially on Washington Senate Joint Memorial 8012, introduced on March 13, 2019. We support the sponsors of Washington Senate Joint Memorial 8012 and petition for redress of grievances as follows.
WHEREAS, Congress passed into law the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986, which states that "No vaccine manufacturer shall be liable in a civil action for damages arising from a vaccine related injury or death associated with the administration of a vaccine after October 1, 1988, if the injury or death resulted from side effects that were unavoidable even though the vaccine was properly prepared and was accompanied by proper directions and warnings"; and WHEREAS, in 2011, the United States Supreme Court ruled in Bruesewitz v. Wyeth that "the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act preempts all design-defect claims against vaccine manufacturers brought by plaintiffs who seek compensation for injury or death caused by vaccine side effects"; and WHEREAS, our individual human rights should outweigh the profits of pharmaceutical companies, and individuals should have the ability to hold vaccine manufacturers liable for design defects that result in adverse side effects from vaccines; and WHEREAS, The European Union has found a way to allow evidence-based suits holding vaccine manufacturers liable without destabilizing the European health care system;
NOW, THEREFORE, we respectfully ask that the United States Congress pass, and the President of the United States sign, legislation removing 42 U.S.C. section 300aa-22(b)(1) from law and therefore allow design defect claims against vaccine manufacturers by individuals who have experienced adverse side effects caused by vaccines.
