Save The Northern Rockies Wolves

Urgent: Wolf hunts are scheduled to begin in Idaho and Montana this September. Idaho Fish and Game has given the okay for 220 wolves to be killed because they are worried the wolf population there will be 1020 animals by the end of 2009. Montana Fish and Game has given the okay for 75 animals to be killed. This needless slaughter must stop to ensure genetic adversity among the packs if wolves are going to survive.

On March 6, 2009, Secretary of the Interior, Ken Salazar, once again removed Endangered Species Act protections from wolves in Idaho and Montana. This follows the same flawed plan of the Bush Administration. One thousand wolves will be slaughtered if we don't take steps to stop this flawed plan. Please tell Secretary of the Interior, Ken Salazar to return Endangered Species Act protections to our Northern Rockies wolves. The last time this happened, world famous Yellowstone wolf, Limpy, was shot and killed in Wyoming. Please sign this petition in Limpy's memory.
