Save The Critically Endangered Iriomote Cat!

The Iriomote cat is a sub-species of the Leopard cat. There are 100- 109 Iriomote cats left on the Japanese island of Iriomote. They are one of the most rare wild cats and they are headed for extinction fast. Since the 1970s' however activists, conservationists, Japanese government, scientists, etc. have worked to save the Iriomote cat. These cats die often due car traffic and the signs by the roads that say "Be aware of the Iriomote cat" people do not obey to these signs. That's why the Japanese government should make it a law to not kill a Iriomote cat due to car accidents. So if someone does kill one there will be consequences for them. Basically the Iriomote island is the Iriomote cats' only territory and by more people taking over the island these cats have less chance of surviving.

So please if you care deeply for animals sign this petition and send it out. It would be a great help.  The Iriomote cat is as I said before the most endangered wild cats. Even though people have done a great deal for them the population of Iriomote cats is still declining fast which means more can be done for them. Let's work to save a population.
