No Preferential Treatment for the Trumps
47 us presidents and their families have resided in the White house for more reasons than just tradition. It has been a matter of security for the president and his family. If a person who is serving as president chooses to not reside in the place designated for him to obtain needed security he forgoes the right to security. He should not be allowed to unnecessarily drain the finances of the US budget just to satisfy a whim, or prove he has the power to do so. The same goes for the immediate family of the Person holding the office of the presidency.
If they don’t wish to live in the place where said security is maintained, they are choosing to live without the security as well. To allow such a blatant disregard to the financial restrictions of the presidency is to allow preferential treatment. Unless they can state a reason why they are unable to live at the presidential residency which can be backed up by medical reasons, it should not be supported.
Do not allow the US government to be taken advantage of by the Trump Family. If they don’t wish to live in the white house they should not receive the privileges given to occupants of the white house. We urge the committee and any other branches of the white house to pass a budgetary resolution stating that security for the US president and family’s living spaces must be limited solely to the white house grounds. If they choose to live elsewhere that is their choice, but that choice has consequences. Do not let Donald Trump take preferential treatment by allowing him to disrupt national security. His family will directly profit from having the secret service reside in Trump towers. Do not allow him to steal money from US citizens.
