Deportation needs to be stopped!

In the United States today, more than 16.7 million people share a home with at least one family member, often a parent, who is unauthorized. According to ICE approximately 267,000 have been deported back to their native country. I believe that people deserve a chance to be in this country! I want the director of NIJC (National Immigrant Justice Center) Heidi Altman to make a voice on how serious this is. We need the deportation rates to go down! Not only are the immigrants getting affected by this but their families. A child's risk of having mental health problems like depression, anxiety, and severe psychological distress increases following the detention and/or deportation of a parent.
