Petition to new Sanhedrin to drop the second day Yom Tov in the Diaspora

Dear members of the newly established Sanhedrin,
My name is Isaac Simchon. I was born in Israel but as a young child moved to New York, where I have lived for 27 years. I am married with 5 children and live a religious life (we are orthodox). Although we live an Orthodox Jewish life, we have many concerns with the authenticity of the Halakha system presently in place. In particular - the issue of the 2 day Yom Tov.
I have spoken with R' Dov Stein a year ago in regards to your halakhic views on the observance of Yom Tov Sheni (second day Yom Tov in the Diaspora). I was told that the subject is currently in debate and there is no answer yet. I was advised to make Aliya and that would solve the issue. Unfortunately for financial and other personal reasons my family and I cannot uproot ourselves and make Aliya at this time.
Today I called and again spoke with R' Dov Stein who told me that this issue won't be resolved until world Jewry accepts the halakhic views of the new established Sanhedrin. R' Stein explained that Sanhedrin fears to create a "split" in Jewish communities around the world and so to avoid that it is best to refrain from making the changes.
I'm sorry but this is not an acceptable response. We Jews (here in the USA and around the world), are already split and diverse, and making the change would have little to no effect on the views of the worldwide Gedolim. There are communities who hold by the Eruv on Shabbath, and those who do not. We have so many different sects (Chabad, Litvak, Yeshivish, Belz, Pupa, Viznitz, Satmar, Ger, Breslov, etc - and that's just in the Ashkenazi communities). My point is that worrying about "splitting" the Jewish world when making halakhic changes in the Diaspora is not a valid excuse.
I'm asking you on behalf of all Diaspora Jews, many of whom I see or hear about resenting Judaism (for many other reasons - not just this issue), and complaining about the long Yom Tov - Especially when Shabbath enters the picture (then it becomes a 3-day Yom Tov, which is a nuisance and sometimes unbearable for many).
The Torah mentions One Day of Celebration. Granted, back then we depended on bonfires and messengers to announce the time of the month and Yom Tov. But that was then, and this is now. We must evolve to apply Halacha to our times in a relevant manner. Some Rabbis say איו מורידין מן הקדושה, however, this is not the case. The Kedusha is one day as Hashem commanded us in the Torah. And Just like the sons of Israel celebrated one day Yom Tov in the desert (40 years before entering the land of Israel), we should too.
It is high time to show the world that the new Sanhedrin is not a joke. and if other Jews don't hold your views then it is they who should be accountable! You should NOT fear what the Jewish world thinks of you. That is preposterous! You are The Sanhedrin! You have the power to make great changes which can improve and enhance the lives of world Jews, and there is so much potential! Perhaps the reason other communities don't hold your views or not taking you seriously is that you are not showing that you mean business. Only Sanhedrin can anoint the משיח. Only Sanhedrin can bring Jews closer together!
May Hashem give you the strength and courage to reshape the world of halakha without fear or remorse. We no longer live in the 12th century. We as Jews must evolve with the times, not only in our day to day lives but our faith as well.
