We must do better than this. We lost 10 lives on May 18, 2018. We need to take action and take it now!
Metal detectors with an armed officer at the entrance to each school is what I propose. All other perimeter doors locked down so that students are only able to enter from one entrance. If our courtrooms and airports have them, shouldn't our schools?

The school board meeting is Monday, June 25th at 7:00pm in the SFISD Admin Bldg located at 4133 Warpath, Santa Fe, Texas 77510. If school safety is important to you PLEASE ATTEND!! Thank you all for signing the petition! We are up to 1,088 signatures! We are going to present this to the SFISD School Board later this month. It looks like we are going to have a hard time convincing the school board to implement them. If you have kids in SFISD please join us tomorrow (Sunday, June 10th) at 3:00pm at Runge Park. We are having a parent meeting to discuss our plans at the upcoming board meeting. Thank you!

We are at nearly 500 signatures at almost 24 hours since this petition was created. That is amazing! We have someone wanting to donate the metal detectors. Please continue to share so that we can get more signatures and present this to the SFISD superintendent and police department so that they will take action!
