Construction Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) at Montcalm SS

Montcalm Secondary School is a tech emphasis school and we currently have two Specialist High Skills (SHSM) in the Automotive technology sector and Hospitality technology sector. As a tech emphasis school, I believe that there should be a SHSM in Construction as well. Only one out of three tech emphasis schools in London, Clarke Road SS, Montcalm SS and Saunders SS, have a Construction SHSM and that is Saunders SS. For high school students in the Montcalm SS/Clarke Road SS area, there is not a Construction SHSM option. THis put any/all students looking to go into the Construction field after high school at a disadvantage.
