Make NJIT exams open note and get rid of the virtual proctors.

A pandemic is not an everyday occurrence, we don't have protocols for it. NJIT is making it a requirement to use lock down browsers and camera proctors for exams even though many students have, lost all the resources available to them at school, and lost their jobs. Regardless of all the stress and anxiety going around about this pandemic, NJIT is still trying to maintain the "integrity" of their students as if anyone had a choice to have virtual classes. Many students already have severe test anxiety and now add on the camera proctors that tell you that if you look away or get interrupted you now have to explain the situation, you have to divide your attention to explain to the video recording what is going on and what you are doing with your every single move. This will ultimately bring down test scores because students need to worry about something else other than their exam.

During this unfortunate time it is in a way heartless to ask so much more of the student who are PAYING thousands of dollars for a college education. Universities are businesses at the end of the day and they must make sure their customers are satisfied. We the students are their customers and we need to get our moneys worth. We deserve a fair shot at passing out classes that we PAID for. NJIT needs to keep in mind the mental health of their students and well being of their students. If they disregard this fact then they will surely start loosing customers.
