Our Neighborhood garbage collectors have been using service roads to collect our garbage. Recently a letter came out to all neighbors telling us to bring our garbage to the front of our homes. This is a problem since most of the homes are on hills and have to use stairs to get to the front door. Bringing large garbage cans and large recycle cans to the front and down the stairs is dangerous. Because of this most residents bring their large garbage cans and recycle bins and leave them on the side walks which makes our neighborhood look unclean and brings our neighborhood property value down. Please see pictures attached. We are asking the city of Bridgeport CT to go back to using service roads in back of homes to collect garbage and recycle bins.
