Arrowhead's new wifi System called Securly is blocking sites that many of us may use for educational purposes. This system scans social media posts and will be alerted for any posts relating drugs, profanity, cyber bullying, threats, and depression/suicide. The website says that 71% of flagged activity was made on twitter and 26% of flagged activity was made on Facebook messenger, leaving the other 3% from other social media platforms. This shows that the new Wifi isn't just blocking sites, they are scanning messages sent between people and seeing posts people make on Instagram. Securly says that the Schools with about 3000 students will flag 80 posts per day using their Wifi System. This Wifi system is invading our privacy. The download that they had us get has also made computers crash and get viruses. The Securly Website states that this software is only downloaded on school owned devices, so why would students have to download it on personal devices?
