Yulin 2019

It is with a heavy heart that we must petition again for the 7th year running all Embassies and Governments to call an end to the Yulin Dog Meat Torture Festival.

It is hard to believe it has been 7 years since we have been protesting this atrocity.

Here is what we know from being on the ground. Dogs and cats are still being cruely butchered for food and fur. Not just at Yulin but day in day out.

In May and June authorities demand pet licenses are renewed and can go door to door to seize dogs over 35cm.

Warehouses are full of stolen and stray dogs and cats.

Despite animal activism demand for food and fur is not decreasing.

NGO are being restricted in their activites.

In 2018 just before Yulin our shelter was smashed down and we had to start again.

Despite that we forge on and will take to the streets on June 21st.

We will also be on the ground in China, stopping trucks, funding medical care of rescues and giving them sanctuary in our shelter.

Please support our work. Please raise your voice until this madness ends.

Football star Mo Salah has spoken out against plans in his home nation of Egypt to export stray animals abroad, amid fears they will be used for food. This echoes our own concerns although we fear if they are sent they could be used for medical experiments. Our petition has nearly reached 5000 and we will send it off tomorrow with our reports on how animals are treated in China. Our charity runs a shelter in China. Please follow all our updates.
