Don't Deprived Puerto Ricans from Resources

Puerto Ricans are US citizens since 1917. Right now, my country suffered a huge devastation through the pass of Hurricane Maria in Sept 2017.
According to the Jones Act every article (food, clothing, medicine, etc) has to be negotiated and approved by the US government ONLY. Afueron a couple of days from this Hurricane, my people still lacks of resources like food, water, clothing, medicine amongst others.
I am creating this petition to ask president Donald Thrump to help the island, to waived or allow other countries to help the island up until we rise as a country and my people are not suffering from deprivation of the main human resources to in order to preserve their lives.
