Missouri Could Be The First State With Zero Clinics Providing Abortions

There is exactly one clinic providing abortions, a constitutional right, in Missouri. Now, that clinic may lose their license because state regulators are trying to close them down for political reasons.

Sign now if you want Reproductive Health Services of Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region to keep their license and continue to provide healthcare, including abortion services.

The clinic's license was supposed to expire Friday May 31st at the stroke of midnight and the state is refusing to renew it, citing health concerns and practices in the clinic, a claim denied by the clinic themselves. It's so obvious that legislators and regulators are just trying to take choice away from pregnant people. If they actually cared about health practices, they would focus on expanding access to healthcare in the state, not limit it.

This is just the latest in a slew of attacks on a person's right to choose how, when and whether to become a parent. For a political party that prides themselves on individual choice, they sure don't seem to trust anyone with the capacity to become pregnant.

It's critical that we show our support for this clinic and abortion services in general. A judge in Missouri  has temporarily restrained this action, allowing the clinic to stay open and provide abortions for now, but that's not a long term fix. Instead, we need Missouri politicians and legislators to stop making unreasonable demands of the clinic in order to get them to close. They are toying with people's lives here and it's unacceptable.

Please sign now to support the last abortion clinic in Missouri.

If it closes, Missouri will have zero clinics that provide abortion and people in the state will suffer and die from that. We know that making abortion less accessible doesn't stop abortion, it just stops safe abortion. Thus, this would be to the detriment of Missourians who don't have the means to travel out of state to procure the healthcare they need.
