Opposition to the proposed RV Park in Yulee, Fl

This petition opposes the proposed RV Park on Semper Fi Road Yulee, FL (Turn at the Flash Foods towards Johnson’s Lake). The proposed RV Park is 250-350 site park with multi use requests (boat storage, laundry, pool, ponds, welcome center and amenity center. There are several reasons to oppose this RV Park, please see them outlined below:

1. Decreased property values for the surrounding communities that are established and additional phases that are being built.
2. Increased traffic flow. This location has one entrance road that is a small 2 lane county road which is currently in a deplorable state.
3. Increased noise. Once the land has been cleared there is no natural buffer to the traffic noise from I-95.
4. There are already RV Parks in the area. Horne’s RV Park on US 17 offers the same type of amenities. Bow and Arrow, Lofton Creek and Ft. Clinch offer RV and campsites. Nearby you have Flamingo Lake RV Park as well.
5. The area selected for this park is a newly growing area, with Rayonier starting the new community with the school, this park could heavily impact the growth of that development. Many residents wouldn’t want such a park in the close proximity.
