Ron DeSantis Said He Would End Birthright Citizenship. This Is Unconstitutional.

In Ron DeSantis' latest horrendous effort to flex his racist, white-supremacist campaign muscles, the Republican presidential candidate vowed to end birthright citizenship for children of undocumented immigrants born in the United States. This is not only clearly racially coded, it is also wildly unconstitutional, and it is time he retracted his statement and committed to upholding the Constitution if elected president.

Sign now to demand DeSantis commit to upholding the U.S. Constitution and protect all citizens and people that call the U.S. home!

Birthright citizenship is a lifesaving policy of people born in the U.S. to immigrant families. Imagine being sent to a country you have never been to and certainly do not call home simply because of the citizenship status of your parents. This effort to end birthright citizenship for children of undocumented parents is inhumane and goes against one of the beautiful things that America stands for.

It's also wildly hypocritical for a member of the GOP to propose a policy that directly opposes the Constitution. The 14th amendment guarantees citizenship to all individuals "born or naturalized in the United States." So, is DeSantis planning to repeal an essential Constitutional amendment?

We cannot let such a terrifying policy continue to be a part of a man with this large of political platform's campaign. Sign the petition to tell presidential candidate Ron DeSantis to retract this statement and commit to upholding the Constitution!
