Fossil Fuels Are a Death Sentence. Wyoming Wants to Make Them Mandatory.

Climate change around the world is getting further and further out of control, and our worsening predicament is closely tied to our use of fossil fuels like oil and gas. That's why climate scientists are sounding the alarm on the potentially irreversible, catastrophic consequences of continuing to rely on fossil fuels. But instead, Wyoming is considering banning electric vehicles.

Yes, you read that right: the state legislature is trying to make electric vehicle sales illegal by 2035.

Sign now to demand Wyoming legislators vote no on this irresponsible, regressive, and environmentally devastating proposal!

It is no secret that gas-guzzling cars are major contributors to greenhouse gas emissions, which are fueling an already-devastating climate crisis.

But that didn't stop six state legislators from pushing to ban electric vehicles. Strangely, one of the representatives who first introduced the bill actually backtracked afterwards and admitted he doesn't even stand behind the proposal. Instead, he claimed that the bill was a retaliatory move against California, which passed rules banning the sale of new gas-powered cars by 2035.

But there are crucial differences between those two states' bills. California's is based on science and protecting the future of the planet. Wyoming's is a cheap political stunt to save a dying, Earth-killing industry.

Sign the petition to tell the Wyoming state legislature to vote no on this short-sighted, Earth-harming bill!
