Moratorium on Animal Waste Storage Facilities in Grant County Wisconsin

The Grant County Conservation, Sanitation and Zoning Committee will discuss and consider a temporary moratorium on the issuance of county permits for animal waste storage facilities. The moratorium to allow time for the SWIGG (Southwest WI Groundwater and Geology) study to be completed and the results to be evaluated. Building additional manure lagoons while we're studying and evaluating the reasons for well contamination is unwise and can be prevented with the appropriate moratorium. If you agree, please sign this petition and send it to whomever else you think might support it.

THE GRANT COUNTY CONSERVATION, SANITATION AND ZONING COMMITTEE will call the meeting to order on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the Grant County Board Rm., 264 in the Administration Building, 111 S. Jefferson St., Lancaster WI. Please note the location is at the ADMINISTRATION BUILDING ON THE SQUARE.
