Childcare: The first 30 days.

Once upon a Time a mom found her courage. She said a prayer and on faith took her young son and escaped a bad relationship. She went to a women's shelter, and while it was a great place.. she didn't want to stay long. Her first mission was to get a job. That is where the problem began. The shelter did not have a daycare, and there was no one else to ask. She tried the state. That is when she discovered they can't provide free childcare until you've worked for at least 30 days. So this mom was on her own. She ended up pan handling to get ahead. People were either rude to her, or they offered her money for things she wasn't interested in. It was very scary for her, and not many cared to understand. She eventually met her prince charming who happened to be homeless too. They all lived in his awesome Astrovan that looks like the A-team until they got on their feet. Now they have a great family, with a nice apartment. They both work hard everyday, but that mom thinks about the women who don't meet their knight in shining wheels. She wonders if their might be a way they could earn a voucher for the first 30 days. Then they would be free to get ahead.
