Don't cut 401k contribution or any retirement plan. Allow American to save unlimited amounts

Congress is proposing drastic cuts to the 401k program to $2400 from $18500. They are even proposing cuts to every other private plans. I propose instead of cuts allow Americans to save unlimited amounts even if more then the amount won't be tax free. I propose Congress increase all current private retirement plans be increased to over $100k. Then any amount beyond that won't be tax free but the cap would be lifted. The 401k needs an overhaul and should be less expensive to maintain and allow people to hold other assets. Ever since 1978 when Congress voted for the Budget Control Act employers have dumped their Pension plans or ended new participants. The US Social Security administration only allows certain income to be subjected and for 2017 it was a maximum income of $127,200 was subjected to Social Security taxes and beyond that people are on their own meaning people have to rely on retirements like the 401k or other sources with the exception of the Roth IRA and a few people in incomes higher then that and are considered important employees in companies would get a Pension Plan. Congress should stop calling themselves pro American and free marketers since they want to make Americans rely on only Social Security or rely on charity care and be forced in their old age to live in their vehicles. Of course if they dare vote to make drastic cuts. Lastly if they do touch the 401k or other plans in their tax cuts then Americans should demand the resignation of the US government in droves or vote out the entire US government in 2018 and 2020.
