The Proud Boys are a neo-facist and far-right organization founded in Canada by Gavin McInnes. They are designated a hate-group by the Southern Poverty Law Centre and were an active participant in the attack on the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.
The Proud Boys have been banned by Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube for dissemination of conspiracy theories and COVID-19 misinformation.
Unbelievably, Canada's list of terrorist organizations contains no domestic far-right or white nationalist organizations. The RCMP's guide on violent extremism does not contain references to the Proud Boys.
Don't allow this domestic hate group to grow in Canada.
