DEMAND THAT SEXUAL LUBRICANT TESTING ON ANIMALS SHOULD CEASE.

  • by: Linda Schenk

Rabbits, mice, and guinea pigs are losing their lives because the US Federal Food & Drug Administration announced that all sexual lubricants MUST be tested on animals to receive pre-marketing approval. Within 5 years companies will not be able to sell their sexual lubricating products without this approval.

The animals are injected with these sexual lubricants then killed and dissected to look for signs of "vaginal irritation". These sexual lubricants are being classified as a Class II medical device rather than cosmetic..

There are alternative non animal organic 100% vegan and gluten free sexual lubricant products available, such as, cocoanut oil and aloe-based products. These products do not involve the sacrificing of animal lives.

Ask the FDA to stop the testing of sexual lubricants on animals. There are better testing methods available that do not use animals and are less expensive and equally more predictive of human safety.

I urge you to sign this petition to stop the use of testing sexual lubricants on animals. No animal should have to die for the testing of sexual lubricants when there are non animal safer alternatives available.
