Housing for felons
There are no laws in place to consider felony convicted people are in need of housing. Seems to make true of the system being set up to keep you in the system. As a felon myself, I have been seeking a place of my own and making 3,000 or better a month and I am immediately told no due to my criminal background. Not one place I have reached cares that I was released from my commitment to the court early due to my determination to rehab my life, but when people are faced with homelessness it's hard to stay away from breaking laws. As a person already with a background I know all to well that anything I may be arrested for will be escalated due to my prior convictions.
We need laws in place to protect our people who are simply trying to live. We need equal housing for everyone because I have been homeless for a year with plenty of income for rent but instead I jump couch to couch being denied housing from luxury apartments to simple sleeping rooms. Get people off the streets.
