To: Annapolis Valley Apple Blossom Festival Board of Directors,
We, the undersigned, request a special meeting of the Annapolis Valley Apple Blossom Festival as per section 4 (B) of the festival bylaws, for the purpose of discussing re-instatement of the Queen Annapolisa Leadership Competition. We believe that without Queen Annapolisa, the festival is no longer fulfilling its mission of delivering events that reflect our past, present, and future. We believe there is a better way forward by keeping the traditional Queen Annapolisa Competition, and at the same time supporting a new and separate youth leadership program. We request this meeting be held at 7:00 pm, on or before October 14, 2023, with the appropriate 10 days public notice of time and location.

With regards to the reinstatement of Queen Annapolisa, the festival board sent me the follwing message.
We wish to inform you that in accordance with Section IV(b) of the Annapolis Valley Apple Blossom Festival bylaws, on October 13th the Directors called a special General Meeting to be held on Monday, October 23rd, 2023. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at the Louis Millett Community Complex, room 120.
This is open to the public, please attend if interested.

Thanks to all who signed. The letter has been sent to the Festival Office. Keep watch here or the Facebook Group "History of the Annapolis Valley Apple Blossom Festival". The letter will remain open for additional signers/commenters and will be presented at the future meeting when it is scheduled.
