Ask Your State to Follow New York's Example and Require Birth Control Coverage

In preparation for the Repeal of the Affordable Health Care Act, also known as "Obamacare" the state of New York has implemented regulations that require insurer's to provide birth control. With Obamacare under assault and Republican representatives eager to dismantle the benefits it provides to American citizens, New York is being proactive in its approach to protect its citizens.

The regulation reads:

"An insurer shall cover at least one form of contraception within each of the methods of contraception that the federal Food and Drug Administration has identified for women without annual deductibles or coinsurance, including copayments."

Access to safe, affordable contraception shouldn't be limited to New York. All states should pass similar regulations that protect women's right to famil planning. Sign this petition to ask your state to follow New York's lead and require that health insurers cover contraception.

We (the undersigned) are concerned about the future healthcare changes our state and country are facing with the repeal of the Affordable Care Act.

New York has already taken appropriate steps to be proactive in protecting its citizens by creating regulations that will require insurance companies to provide birth control to its patients/citizens.

This petition will be sent to every U.S. State with a willingness to protect the health and well being of its citizens. Please consider following New York's example.

Sincerely,
