Eliminate grocery sales tax in Idaho

The grocery sales tax is a disproportionate tax upon low income families. The elimination of this tax will allow more Idaho families to escape food insecurity. The USDA defines food insecurity as “reduced quality, variety, or desirability of diet” or “disrupted eating patterns and reduced food intake.” It is time for Governor Butch Otter to support legislation to eliminate this tax as so many other states have already done.
