This morning, the Care2 team and community watched Dr. Christine Blasey Ford bravely testify in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee
about her accusations that Trump's Supreme Court pick, Brett Kavanaugh, sexually assaulted her when she was just 15-years old.
Dr. Ford's emotional testimony
included details that Kavanaugh and his friend, Mark Judge, pushed her into a room, groping her and resisting her struggles. When she tried to scream, she stated that Kavanaugh put his hand over her mouth to stop her — making it difficult to breath — and she was "terrified" that he would accidentally kill her. Please sign and share to thank Christine Blasey Ford for her courageous and inspiring testimony. We believe you and we thank you for your bravery in speaking out.
Since Dr. Ford came forward with these shocking accusations, two additional women have also come forward with troubling sexual misconduct allegations against Brett Kavanaugh
. Deborah Ramirez has accused
Kavanaugh of exposing himself to her at a Yale University party when they were both students, and Julie Swetnick has signed a sworn affidavit that she witnessed
Kavanaugh participating in "targeting" women with alcohol and drugs to facilitate their gang rape — including her own.
These accusations — and Dr. Ford's heart-wrenching testimony — make it clear that Brett Kavanaugh is NOT suitable for a lifetime appointment on the Supreme Court
but in their rush to confirm him, Senate Republicans are undermining, minimizing, and disrespecting these brave women and millions of other sexual assault survivors who deserve to have their stories heard. Sign your name to stand in solidarity with Christine Blasey Ford, Deborah Ramirez, Julie Swetnick, and survivors around the world! We believe you, Christine Blasey Ford.We believe you, Deborah Ramirez. We believe you, Julie Swetnick. We believe survivors and we believe women.
