The HOA in the Reflection Isles community in Fort Myers, Florida is suing the Groenendaal / Soriano Family for the removal of our dogs. Hunter and Nala have lived in this community since 2015. In April of 2017 we received a letter from the attorney of the HOA, stating if we did not remove our dogs within the next few days police and animal control would forcibly remove them from our home. When allegations against our dogs were brought to our attention, we put our home up for sale and have tried our best to always keep the dogs out of common areas.
Still, after our attempts to respect our neighbors and the HOA we have been to court and received many hostile emails from the HOA attorney. The threat to lose our home and the forcible removal of our dogs remains. We were not given due process rights and have been constantly been threatened. If you know our dogs you know they are not vicious. Besides for one documented claim against our dog many are based on hearsay and false allegations. Trainers, dog walkers and dog sitters that have dealt with our dogs personally are sending affidavits in our dogs defense.
We need your help in stoping the HOA from bullying its members and your faith to help us save our dogs. We never thought anything like this could or would happen to us.
If you sign our petition, you are agreeing to the statement that: Nala and Hunter do not need to be removed from our home in Reflection Isles for the remainder of our residency, as they are not menacing or dangerous to the community in which we live.
