Charge the Ohio police for killing a pregnant Black woman!

On August 24th, an Ohio police officer shot and killed 21-year-old Ta'Kiya Young while she was in her car. Sean Walton, an attorney representing Young's family, said the recently released body cam video clearly shows that killing the pregnant woman was entirely unjustified.

The officer claims that Young was suspected of shoplifting, which last time we checked does not carry a penalty of summary execution without trial or charge by a trigger-happy goon.

"Ta'Kiya's family is heartbroken," Walton said in an interview with The Associated Press. "The video did nothing but confirm their fears that Ta'Kiya was murdered unjustifiably ... and it was just heartbreaking for them to see Ta'Kiya having her life taken away under such ridiculous circumstances."

Ohio police have a terrible track record of murdering Black people without cause or reason — like Tamir Rice, the twelve-year-old who was shot by police within seconds of them arriving on the scene. It's long past time to hold these killers accountable.
