Justice for children left to die in hot cars

In the last decade there has been multiple cases of children being left in hot vehicles to die. Why is this a occurrence that continues to happen year after year? Why is it when you look in the 60s through the 90s there few cases ,in some years no reported occcurences of children being left to die in hot vehicles?
At this point I believe some cases are intentional. This is a get-out-of-jail-free card to rid yourself of your child, without any consequences. Ask yourself how many times have you forgotten your child in the car and gone shopping or completed a full shift at work ? How many people do you know have done this? Have you realized how often this happens? Do you believe this is negligence? Do you believe this is endangering the other children the parent may have? Do you believe these helpless children should have a voice? I'm asking you to ask yourself these questions with a open heart. PLEASE SIGN
The solution
To mandate a mandatory 25 year minimum sentence under the grounds of premeditated vicious first-degree murder ,child endangerment,and negligence resulting in death. Without the option of parole. In the event the child survives and has permanent damages a minimum 15-year sentence. I believe harsher sentences will create a safer environment for the children. This would push adults to think twice and keep their mind focused on what's most important which is the well-being of that child. I believe leniency and victimizing the parents is a way of coddling and supporting this ongoing trend of tragedy.
