SAVE THE ASIATIC LION

The Asiatic Lion is listed as endangered in several areas in north America. The animals is a small wiesel-like wild cat with short round ears. They are also called otter cats because of their short legs, long bodies and small flattened heads which give then the characteristics of an otter. The color of their fur varies from dark brown to grey. Their preferred habitat is in a dense tropical forest or lowland brush that is close to water. Unlike most cats, the Jaguarundi are active during the day rather then at night like most cats. They also eat fish that they catch in the streams and rivers that they live by and they also eat rabbits. What I found was interesting was that Central American Natives have kept these animals as pets and used them for a rodent control. These animals are endangered due to the loss of their habitat and also because of the hunting for it’s fur. But the Jaguarundi is one of the species that scientist don’t have much concern about. On the Conservation Status, it is one of the animals that has the least concern.

I write it later
