Im starting a petition for both communities off 46th and osage, the Tradewinds and Windmill acre neighborhoods. There has been a large amount of theft and drug/criminal activity rise the past few years. Amarillo police and city of amarillo have been contacted numerous time by multiple residents... nothing has been done. Residents have resorted to putting up cameras, keeping children indoors and locking up property like fort nox (one lady's husband passed away a few months ago.. she has moved her son in and installed cameras. not only did they get into her property but because she is afraid) We have had many nights... dark - 5/6 am of being woke up with stop and go traffic and druggies walking around and riding bikes. its time we stand up and fix the problem... we need a community where we not only feel safe and protected... but one where our children can play and enjoy their childhood... we should not have too worry about some strung out meth head kidnapping them, falling out behind the wheel and running a child over, stealing property or possibly performing a home invasion. Please sign this petition so i can turn it into the city, county and police department... hopefully get some actions taken. I refuse too sit in the sideline while they take over and run our community down, lets take a stand!
