Stop Threatening Sanctuary Cities and Tearing Families Apart!

On January 30th, 2017, Donald Trump appointed Thomas Homan as acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Homan was chosen for this role because of his zealous deportation plans and his desire to end sanctuary cities nationwide. Homan's views align perfectly with Trump's because he is planning punish sanctuary cities/states/counties by denying them necessary funding.

This is not right and Homan MUST be stopped! Sign on to stop him.

Early 2017, in a little over 3 months, Homan conducted more than 10,800 "non-criminal arrests", of law abiding undocumented immigrants who did NOT have criminal records. This was a 150% increase from the year prior. He is on a mission to deport EVERY undocumented immigrant he can find instead of prioritizing gang members and drug traffickers. In interviews and calls he has solidified his stance that "Those who do enter the country illegally…violate the law. That is a criminal act." Someone with that mindset should NOT have the power to tear families apart on a whim.

Homan has repeatedly threatened sanctuary states such as California telling them, "they better watch out." It is rumored that ICE is planning an extensive sweep in Northern California where they plan on arresting 1,500 undocumented immigrants who have received final notices of deportation papers, have criminal records, or who were unlucky enough to be in any vicinity with a raid planned.

He is planning attacks on communities that protect their own.

In Michigan, ICE recently deported a man named Jorge Garcia. He lived in the U.S. for over 30 years and was brought over when he was only 10 years old! He didn't have as much as a parking ticket on his record, yet, he was taken from his wife and two children.

We must stand up for our friends and neighbors and demand Homan to STOP deporting every undocumented immigrant he happens to find.
