'Repeal the Omaha Restaurant Tax Now!'

The city of Omaha, Nebraska imposed a two and a half percent restaurant tax on top of the seven percent city sales tax on all eating establishments within the city limits of Omaha back in 2010. When Mayor Jean Stothert was elected in 2013, she promised in her campaign speeches to get rid of the restaurant tax, but so far, has failed to live up to her pledge. Mayor Jean Stothert is running for re-election this year, and so far she hasn't said anything about eliminating the tax, along with all the other candidates and they haven't said anything pertaining to abolishing this controversal, unfair tax on Omaha taxpayers like myself.......
