FIGHT AGAINST THE 911 PROPERTY TAX FEE - MURRAY, KY

THE ISSUE-----Calloway County is punishing commercial property owners with this unreasonable additional tax fee of $30 per UNIT. This ordinance is unfairly designed and targets owners of apartment buildings who could end up paying 15-30% more in real estate taxes.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT-----Calloway County Property Valuation Administrator Nikki McMillen-Crouch just released a letter to all Calloway County Taxpayers saying that on September 19th, 2019 the fiscal court passed ordinance #19-1016A that requires a 911 fee to be added to each property tax bill.

The 911 Fee applies to each individual residential and each individual commercial UNIT (not building). The fee will apply to all occupied and unoccupied structures for each year.

For the 2020 tax year, the fee is $30 per UNIT.
