Replace "Corpse-Cash" containing tallow!

  • by: M.B.
  • recipient: Mark Carney, governor of the bank of England

The new polymer banknotes created by the Bank of England contain tallow, a rendered form of animal fat traditionally used to make candles and soap.

Simply put, vegans, vegetarians and all those whose religions ask for respect towards other creatures are being disrespected and their rights ignored. It is already a struggle to live in a world that is completely saturated with animal products - forcing these people to act against their beliefs is unacceptable.

Renamed "corpse-cash", these notes must be removed!

We ask that the polymer notes be withdrawn and a new process developed to create new ones that do not contain any substances that are so flippantly inconsiderate.

Dear Governor Carney,

The new polymer banknotes created by the Bank of England contain tallow, a rendered form of animal fat traditionally used to make candles and soap.

Simply put, vegans, vegetarians and all those whose religions ask for respect towards other creatures are being disrespected and their rights ignored. It is already a struggle to live in a world that is completely saturated with animal products - forcing these people to act against their beliefs is unacceptable

Renamed "corpse-cash", these notes must be removed!

We ask that the polymer notes be withdrawn and a new process developed to create new ones that do not contain any substances that are so flippantly inconsiderate.
