BAN the sale of Pets in Pet Stores in Las Vegas!

Nevada Political Action for Animals has drafted an ordinance for approval that would prohibit the commercial sale of cats, dogs and rabbits in Las Vegas EXCLUDING animals obtained from local shelters or rescues with 501c3 status. More than 45 cities have already passed this ban and Las Vegas needs to be next! In the 2011 legislative session we passed the puppy mill bill and this is the next step to moving forward. In an effort to expose what was going on in Nevada we closed down a commercially operating puppy mill in Amargosa. The DA filed 10 charges of animal abuse and neglect in that case. Nearly all pet stores get their puppies from puppy mills like the one we shut down in Amargosa. People need to realize that when they buy their pets from a pet store they are buying from a puppy mill. Let us know what you think?? Get involved, sign the petition!
