Coach Dooley is a great coach for UT. He's had a huge hand in helping our football program compete with the top notch SEC contenders like Georgia, Mississippi State, South Carolina, and newcomer Mizzou. We may not have won these games, but that isn't from lack of trying. Our offense has the best talent since Peyton Manning graced our turf! The players are making unbelievable plays, Coach Dooley is calling some ballsy last minute drives from the sideline and the offensive line looks like the offensive line of the 90's era, which all amounts upto Touchdown Tennessee! The only teams to blow us out this year are Alabama and Florida, which let's be honest, hasn't this happened every year for the past decade. We are no where near competing with teams of this magnitude yet, but given a few more years and more recruiting opportunites I see our football program developing into one that everyone on ESPN will be talking about. We have all the fundamentals of a solid football team, with the exception of our defense. I, by no means am an expert in football fundamentals, but I am smart enough to figure this out. You can not mount a good offense without the structure of a solid defense. It's great to jump ahead 21-0 in the 1st half, but what good is it going to do if the defense can't make a stop on 3rd and 20. What good is it if your defensive lineman miss tackle after tackle? To quote Ed Hochuli, "It's no good!" So fellow Volunteer football fans I ask you this, Is firing Dooley really the answer, or does it make more sense to support Coach Dooley and light a fire under our new AD Dave Hart's ass to find us a new Defensive Coordinator, one that really does understand how a defense should function!!! If you agree with this and you are tired of seeing coaches come and go in the middle of the night, then stand up and support Derek Dooley by signing this petition and join in saying, "this is Tennessee, and by God, good or bad we stand behind our staff and players and believe that Dooley is the answer!
