The Danville, Illinois Police and Vermilion County Sherriff's radio transmissions has been open, transparent, unedited and free since it started many years ago. A lot of Danville residents and Vermilion County residents depend and rely on the radio transmissions for its unedited, open, free and transparent information. The existing radio transmissions are encrypted and thus not open and does not help inform residents as to what is going on in our town at the present time and we want to open radio transmissions traffic back up to the Danville/Vermilion County residents. Digital transmissions are acceptable, but not encrypted digital transmissions..
