Nichols Vs. The City of Columbus, Ohio

As an affiliate of the innocence project since his incarceration. Arnold Nichols Sr. has successfully passed a polygraph test that the lawyers of the case ask not be included pertaining to the hearing of his case, leaving the defendant without the proper inclusion of evidence to maintain his innocence.

With the incarceration of Arnold Nichols Sr. in 1993 in the state of Columbus, Ohio. The victims of the family have since stated there case for the maximum penalty of the shooting of David Parker; Quadriplegic for nearly two decades after said incident.

Since, held without bail, after three trials. The defendant was sentenced to 39 to 86 years for attempted murder, felonious assault and robbery. He has maintained his innocence, and continues to appeal his case . Eligible for parole and being denied due to the severity of the case. 

With the recent passing of the victim due to natural causes, the family has decided to take it a step further with the continuation of the case, and petition for the withholding of Arnold Nichols Sr. eligibility to be released to a halfway house before his eligibility for parole.

This petition is the statement of the family members and supporters on his behalf. Acknowledging his innocence and participation in no way shape or form to this unfortunate circumstance. Without any proper evidence; surveillance, fingerprints, DNA, Weapon or Witness testimony that would indicate his participation.
