THE SIFAKA  LEMUR ,    IS A SPECIES OF TRUE LEMUR. HUMANS HAVE CUT DOWN ALMOST ALL OF THIS SPECIES HABITAT TO CLEAR FARM LAND. AS A RESULT , THE SIFAKA   LEMUR IS NEARLY EXTINCT IN THE WILD. ITS LISTED ON APPENDIX 1 OF CITES, AND IS CRITICALLY ENDANGERED . AS FEW AS 1.000 INDIVIDUALS ARE THOUGHT TO REMAIN IN THE WILD. CONSEQUENTLY, THIS SPECIES HAS BEEN NAMED ONE OF "WORLD'S 25 MOST ENDANGERED PRIMATES ".
