Maintain full-time Counselors at ALL Elementary Schools in the Vista Unified School District..

The Vista Unified School District is facing a budget crisis. Current planned cuts reduce the number of Elementary School Counselors, meaning the children at some schools will only have access to social/emotional support SOME of the time. This poses not only a safety issue at schools, but long term implications for our entire community.
Please let the School Board Trustees know that access to full-time, on site counselors is critical to the well-being of ALL Vista Unified Elementary School children and should be a core element in our district.

Over 500 signatures is INCREDIBLE!!!! But the problem is bigger than we initially thought.

The district has yet to confirm which schools will lose full-time counselors, but AT LEAST 8 of our 15 elementary schools will be impacted by reduction in services. It is more important than ever to demand that ALL VUSD elementary schools have full-time counselors on site.
